As an educator, I focus on integrating creative technology and traditional design practices to prepare students for the creative industries. Drawing from my experience in professional practice, I've developed innovative curricula that bridge academic theory with real-world applications, with a focus on applications of creativity toward Social Action issues.

My teaching philosophy centers on inclusivity and accessibility, informed by my working-class background and commitment to democratising creative education. I've successfully grown three BA programmes at Kingston University - Art Direction, Design Marketing, and Events + Experiences - from 8 to 200 students, implementing strategic initiatives to increase diversity and student engagement.

By integrating emerging technologies like AI and VR into the curriculum while maintaining focus on fundamental design principles, I help students develop both technical proficiency and critical thinking skills. My approach emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, as demonstrated through projects like BCXHIBITION, where students managed residencies, hackathons, and performances in real-world settings.

As a speaker and workshop leader at institutions including the University of Belfast and University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I share insights on integrating AI into creative workflows and building sustainable careers in the creative industries. This combination of academic leadership and industry experience allows me to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of contemporary creative practice.
