I'm a visual artist and academic who works with print, moving image and words.

Selected works

I work across print and moving image, with writing becoming a larger part of my practice in recent years. I’m interested in what happens where physical and digital making meet, and in the questions that appropriation and human-machine collaboration raise about authorship and originality.

About

I'm an artist, writer and educator. My practice runs across print, moving image and installation, with an increasing focus on narrative writing. I've exhibited in the UK, Spain, Hong Kong and online since 2008.In creative education, I co-created the Creative Industries department at Kingston School of Art and co-wrote four BA degrees. At the Glasgow School of Art I am Academic Lead in Digital Design, in the School of Innovation and Technology. I build courses that put commercial work alongside social action projects, and I've set up industry collaborations with Mozilla Festival, the BBC, World Wrestling Federation and Virgin Atlantic. Opening up creative education to first-in-family students is key to my approach to creative education.I've also spent 30 years in communication design. I worked in house at BBC Radio 1 and News International, and on campaigns and digital product design for brands like Sony Music Europe, IKEA, MTV, Peroni, Samsung and ITV.
